George has been in the real estate business since he joined Trammell Crow Company in 1983. George was in industrial development at Crow and made partner in 1985. He ran the South Atlanta division for Crow and was one of the original 10 Crow partners to leave in the Southeast in 1989 to form Childress Klein Properties. George left Childress Klein in 1992 to move back to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined Collett. George also is the owner of Cornelson Company and is involved with a number of other real estate development partners working on retail, mixed-use, apartment, condo and several operating business.
