Metropolitan to add three more retailers
Three new tenants will move into the Metropolitan mixed-use development in midtown beginning this summer. They are Best Buy, Marshalls and Staples, confirms Steve Pharr, a broker for Collett & Associates.
When complete, Metropolitan will be a $225 million mix of office, retail and residential space. The 500,000-square-foot project by Pappas Properties and Collett & Associates has already delivered a Target store and Home Depot Design Center. They opened in October.
Another tenant expected to open at Metropolitan is Trader Joe's.
Once all of the shops and restaurants are open at the former Midtown Square mall site, Metropolitan is expected to draw up to 15,000 shoppers daily.
Demolition of Midtown Square began in September 2005, making way for the development.
